Background

DRY PIPE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM:

Dry pipe systems contain pressurized air or nitrogen, instead of water. This air holds a remote valve, called a dry pip valve, in a closed position. When a fire triggers one or more sprinklers to operate, the air or nitrogen is released causing the dry pipe valve to release and allows water to enter the pipes and flow onto the sprinklers onto a fire.

Dry Pipe sprinkler systems provide automatic protection in freezing areas such as, commercial freezers, unheated warehouses and attics.
